My Heroic Husband's new job began at the first of the New Year - thus, we have been on a tight schedule to move to our new home. A few weekends ago, we loaded / stuffed a U-haul full of our furniture and boxes. Our wonderful, new church family met us at our house and helped to unload our overflowing truck. What took us hours to load, only took them moments to unload. After that, my Phenomenal Parents came and helped us install shelf paper, unload boxes, and get organized.
For three days, we worked, worked, worked. I only remember sitting down when we took meal breaks. By the end of the weekend though, we had almost all of the boxes at least unpacked - and that felt SO good.
The night before we left, however, I looked down at my feet - yes, I could still see my feet - and noticed that my ankles looked funny. I asked HH for his opinion. He laughed, and said, "Yep, your ankles are swollen!" I took a warm shower and got into bed, hoping that by the next morning, the swelling would be down.
Thankfully... it was!
Since then, we have officially moved to our new house. Every day has been jam-packed with "stuff." I am now at 30 weeks - only 69 days until D Day - and there is so much to do. Not only am I trying to get our new house set up in general, I am also trying to get it ready for sweet little BC. Slowly but surely we are getting the house ready. My goal is to have the house completely organized and put together by mid-February - that leaves me about five weeks. I think we can do it - and hopefully without any more swollen ankles!
Little BC gives us a Christmas smile : ) |
